Complete Skateboards

Complete skateboards consist of a plywood deck attached to two ‘trucks’ which each feature eight ball bearings and two wheels. Though this design has experienced great improvements over the years, it is the same essential design that first began appearing in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. If you are new to the sport, a ready-made board is probably the best investment.

The advantages of buying a complete skateboard should be obvious. The primary advantage being that it is ready to ride immediately. Also, all of its component parts are specifically used in order to create a well-functioning balanced board for all skill levels. Another great thing about skateboards is that they can also easily be modified at any point in the future, so you’ll not be limited by any part of the boards design in the future.

Complete skateboards are great investments for both beginners and more advanced riders alike. One important thing to remember is that, like many things, skateboards need to be broken in too. If you are not immediately satisfied with your board’s performance, breaking it in may serve to make it even better than you had ever imagined. Breaking in a board will also help you more easily identify which parts of the board need to be modified or replaced.
